Neuchâtel is the capital of the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel located on north western shore of the Lake of Neuchâtel. This picturesque and historic city has a population of approximately 35,000 and is by and large French-speaking.
While in Neuchâtel you could take the time to visit the old downtown with a historic centre. Neuchatel is also home to several museums, including a museum of natural history and a museum of ethnography. After a day of sessions we can recommend taking a stroll along the shoreline paths of Lac Neuchatel, the largest lake located fully within Swiss borders. The lake is also suitable for swimming, although can be quite chilly!
