Banque Bonhôte

Banque Bonhôte & Cie SA, which was founded in Neuchâtel in 1815, can look back on a long tradition of expertise in financial and wealth management, its core business. The compact structure of the bank guarantees effectiveness, flexibility and rapid responses to volatile developments in the markets. Its size also allows the bank to foster a privileged relationship with each of the clients, based on trust and the quality of services. The shareholder base is composed of individuals who are mostly members of the management board and employees of the bank. This provides the bank with a totally independent outlook which is free from conflicts of interest and ensures the stability required for the long-term continuity of the activities. The Bonhôte family acquired the Bank in the 19th century. They were the initiators of our corporate culture, which places great emphasis on the personal relationships and mutual trust that we establish with each of our clients. In 1992, Jean Berthoud and a group of partners bought out the Bank returning it to private hands. Jean Berthoud, whose own banking heritage dates back to 1785, was CEO of the Bank before his appointment as Chairman of the Board in 2010. In 2014, Yves de Montmollin took over the management of the bank. He chairs the Group’s Executive Board comprising Jean-Paul Jeckelmann, Olivier Vollenweider and Robin Richard. Nicolas von May is appointed Secretary General Their solid, multidisciplinary experience acquired in the major financial centers in the United States, Europe and Asia is brought to bear in all the Bank’s dealings with its clients. The dynamic approach of this tight-knit, highly motivated team is enhanced by the personal financial stake that each partner has in the future of the Bank. The decision-making process capitalizes on the interaction of ideas, ensuring that strategic choices are informed, objective, and risk-managed. The efficiency of our organization also relies on our high caliber staff whose primary commitment is to provide an outstanding service to our clients.
